MISSION: POSSIBLE is the brainchild of Jason Duff. He was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. Since 2007 he has served as a clinical psychologist in the United States Navy. He and his family have traveled the world and completed two overseas deployments. They continue to serve in the U.S. Navy and are based in the Washington, D.C./Virginia area. In May 2017 Jason was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He was successfully treated through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. During his long hours of treatment he often thought about how he could make a difference once he regained his health. It was then that he decided to launch MISSION: POSSIBLE.
The primary purpose of the event is to raise awareness about cancer support, prevention, and treatment while raising funds to support the Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia (CSCGP). Secondarily, we will enjoy some of the top musical talent in Philadelphia. The CSCGP’s goals are to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. CSCGP provides a comprehensive professional program of social and emotional support and education designed to enhance the mind, body, and spirit of people affected by cancer.
This special event is being held for the first time at Victory Beer Hall at Xfinity Live! Philadelphia on Sunday, February 18, 2018. With more than 750 attendees anticipated, numerous volunteers and multiple sponsors we hope to raise over $15,000 for the Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia.
This event will be a great success thanks to the backing of early supporters such as Desoto Audio, the Philadelphia Union, Mission BBQ, Iacobucci Formal Wear Inc., RFM Photography, DMK Publicity, Carlino’s Market, Courtyard Philadelphia South, Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial, the Spirit of Philadelphia, G Love and Criss Angel (Mindfreak).
